The Firm has a strong, steady, and solid dispute resolution team with extensive experience in trial and appellate practice. Our team is headed by the prominent, veteran trial lawyer Atty. Jose B. Flaminiano.

For civil actions, we have represented clients in multi-million peso commercial disputes. For special proceedings, our expertise include settlement of large estates; while for administrative proceedings, we have represented clients before various quasi-judicial and regulatory agencies, including the Department of Justice, the Securities & Exchange Commission, the Energy Regulatory Commission, the Civil Aeronautics Board, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, and the Land Registration Commission.
Our team is also equally competent in handling disputes submitted to domestic and international arbitration, both institutional and ad hoc. We have seen the field of arbitration grow and gain in popularity in the Philippines these past several years, with the arbitration clause becoming more common in commercial contracts. Recognizing the advantages of arbitration, the three branches of Government – Executive, Legislative, and Judicial – have each done their part to strengthen, institutionalize, and push for this effective method of resolving disputes. Once described by our Supreme Court as the “wave of the future”, arbitration has finally come into its own, with the judiciary now increasingly treating it more as an ally rather than a rival. Our team is in a position to ably assist clients in taking full advantage of this institution that now enjoys the full backing of the Government.
Our corporate clients cut across various industries, which include steel, semi-conductor, telecommunications, business process outsourcing (BPOs), hotel, airline, banking, real estate, multi-level marketing, and mining.
Among our individual clients are prominent businessmen and high-ranking government officials, including two former Presidents of the Republic of the Philippines.
